Here are two reviews I wrote for Cinevue on screenings at the Cine-Excess Cult Cinema conference. This year’s Cine-Excess VI was called ‘Transglobal Excess: The Art and Atrocity of Cult Adaptation’. Details of past and future Cine-Excess events are on the website.
One was the terrifying ‘found footage’ horror by Giorgio Amato called Closed Circuit Extreme (2011) – a film so creepy my friend and I wouldn’t shut up about it for weeks. Review here.
And the other was the brilliantly titled Sergio Martino giallo Your Vice Is a Locked Room and Only I Have The Key (1972). Review here.
